千田家庭園

明治27年（1894）に兼六園を模して作庭された池泉回遊式庭園。
庭の中心に池を設けその鑓水（やりみず）は大野庄用水に堰（せき）を設け取水口より導水し、築山の周囲を流れ背後から用水に戻されている。　　
池の雪見灯篭や赤戸室石の石橋、築山の七福神由来の石塔や景石に兼六園の趣きが見られる。また100年ぶりに滝流も復活。
庭木はアカマツ、クロマツが主で池泉の周囲にはサツキツツジなどツツジ類が数多く配され、満開時には色彩鮮やかな庭園となる。

Senda-ke Garden

This garden was created in 1894, inspired by Kenrokuen Garden.
It features a pond at its center and is designed in the chisen-kaiyu (pond and strolling) style, with water drawn from a canal.
After flowing gently around tsukiyama(artificial hills),the water flows back into the canal. Also, the waterfallhas been restored for the first time in a century.
The garden is primarily planted with pines, and many azaleas surround the pond, creating a colorful garden when they are in full bloom.

  • 千田家庭園・千田登文資料館　オープン ／ OPEN

    2025年4月18日（金）13時より、金沢市指定文化財 名勝「千田家庭園」および「千田登文資料館」を一般公開いたします。

    庭園は明治時代に旧加賀藩士千田登文により長町武家屋敷跡の大野庄用水沿いに造られ、金沢の武家文化や時代背景を反映した貴重な庭園です。 新設した資料館では、戊辰戦争（北越戦争）や西南戦争で功績を上げた「千田登文」に関する資料やゆかりの品々を展示いたします。庭園とあわせてご覧頂くことで、より深くその魅力をご体感頂けます。

    Senda-Ke Garden And Museum Opens.

    From 1:00 P.m. On Friday, April 18, 2025, Senda -Ke Garden And Museum, Designated Cultural Properties And Scenic Spots By Kanazawa City, Will Be Open To The Public.

    The Garden Was Built In The Meiji Era By Former Kaga Samurai Norifumi Senda Along The Onosho Canal On The Site Of The Nagamachi Samurai District, And Is A Precious Garden That Reflects Kanazawa’s Samurai Culture And The Historical Background Of The Times.

    The Newly Established Museum Will Display Materials And Items Related To Norifumi Senda, Who Made Outstanding Achievements In The Boshin War (Hokuetsu War) And The Seinan War. By Viewing The Museum Together With The Garden, You Can Experience Its Charm Even More Deeply.

池泉回遊式庭園

Chisen-kaiyu (pond and strolling) style garden
明治27年（1894）に兼六園を模して作庭された池泉回遊式庭園。

明治中期に作庭された庭園で、ほぼ当時の姿を残す貴重な庭園。
築山には灯篭、石塔、景石を配置し、池に架けた石橋から回遊路を散策して鑑賞する形式となっている。中心の池は敷地横を流れる大野庄用水と繋がっているほか、細部までこだわって作られた庭園は、当時の作庭技術の高さが伺える。

兼六園は13代藩主 前田斉泰（まえだなりやす）が現在の形に整備した。斉泰に仕えた千田登文は、作庭にあたりその影響を強く受け、随所に兼六園の趣を取り入れた。
Kenrokuen Garden was shaped in its current form by the 13th feudal lord, Nariyasu Maeda. Norifumi Senda, who served Nariyasu, was strongly influenced by this garden when designing his own, and incorporated key elements from Kenrokuen.

Senda-ke Garden/Museum
千田家庭園は旧加賀藩士で戊辰戦争や後の西南戦争で功績を残した千田登文が明治27年（1894）に整備した。千田登文の来歴・由来の品などを展示。
Senda-ke Garden was built by Norifumi Senda, a former Kaga Samurai who distinguished himself in many wars. Exhibits Norifumi Senda’ｓ related original items.
